If you’ve been hankering after having a beautiful window box, you’re in the right place. Four times a year I invite you to join the ‘batch’, to have your own seasonal window box – from spring’s primroses and bulbs, through summer’s blousy flowers, autumn’s tones and textures, to winter evergreens. I do the hard work for you.

A signature seasonal window box service that brings the beauty of high-quality planting design to the front of your home. And generously shares it with passers-by and the more-than-human world too. Beauty and joy for all.

On signing up to the batch, you’ll need to provide your delivery address. Please note that this needs to be within E10, E11, or E17. If you’re outside these areas but would like to order from me, please get in touch.

You’ll receive an email to let you know the date of the next season’s batch, and when you need to sign up. Spaces are strictly limited, and allocated on a first come, first served basis. Once the batch is full, it’s closed.

At delivery I will provide you with everything you need to know about the plants in your window box and how to care for them, including what to do if you’re going away.

All of the pricing information will be in the batch invitation email. The cost is made up of three parts: container, plants, and service.

If you get a spot on the batch I will be in touch to see whether you need a window box or already have your own container.

OUR MISSION

Working in small batches means I only source what I need and waste is kept to a minimum.

PLANTING DESIGN

  • We’ve successfully provided planting design only packages a number of times, most often where a client has recently completed any ‘hard landscaping’ such as raised beds, paving, and so on, themselves. At this point, none of that is up for grabs. Rather it’s a case of working with the layout, and proposing a planting scheme that suits the conditions – the orientation, light levels, materials of the beds or paving and the client’s own aesthetic preferences.

GARDEN CONSULTATION

  • Maybe you’ve had your garden some time and it feels like time for a fresh pair of eyes on it. Or you’ve recently moved and want to understand how to make the garden work for you.

    I offer a 1-day consultation service where I visit site, talk with you about how you’d like to use the garden, and produce a written report that you can work to at your own pace. It’s the insight and expertise of someone working full time in garden design that you’re getting.

FAQs - Seasonal Window Box Service

  • Add your name to our newsletter and you’ll be the first to hear. It will also be announced on Instagram.

  • If you’ve not got a window box already, I usually have a supply of Ecopots containers that I am happy to plant up and sell to you.

  • I’m happy to plant up your container for you, providing it’s a minimum 17cm deep from front to back, and 17cm high. The larger the container, the greater the potential planting depth, supporting the plants for a greater amount of time.

  • Your window sill will need to be able to accommodate a container that is at least 17cm deep (from front to back). If that’s not possible, how about a ‘welcome pot’? This is a large floor-standing pot(s) that can make a wonderful statement at your front door. Please get in touch if you are interested in this service.

  • If you’re planning to install the window boxes above ground on a first-floor window sill or higher, you will need to do this yourself. I can deliver them to your door. You must take responsibility for it being secure.

  • Please note that delivery is limited to E10, E11, E17. If you’re outside these areas but would like to order from me, please get in touch.

  • I’ve heard this too. But after five years of delivering window boxes to customers across Walthamstow, Wanstead, Leyton and Leytonstone, not a single customer has had this experience. 

    My personal philosophy is that I’d rather take the risk & try and create the world I want to live in.
