A Garden Hug

With L-shaped raised beds wrapping around the main space, it is as if there are two arms giving the space a great big hug. Step down into the dining area with its interrupted paving providing interest at the feet, coupled with height created by planting into raised beds, and it feels like a little, secret world. With birds in the trees, bees and flies pollinating the flowering plants, and a distinct sense of calm from the green palette, it’s a peaceful place and a great spot to share with friends and family.

Up on the deck there’s room for a bistro table and chairs, sofa, and a table for potting up.

This is what can be achieved in a small terraced garden.

“We love our garden and the way it makes us feel.

There are plants that give structure all year round, and plenty of seasonal interest too. We love it when the new fronds unfurl on the ferns and get so much joy from the crab apple with its bright red little fruits through the winter months.

It’s a good space to share with friends for an intimate evening together.”
